Discount Stores
If there is one thing I know a lot about, it?s discount stores. Though I?m not poor by any means, I do like to save money. There are some things that I don?t mind paying full price for, but there are other things that are better bought at a discount. Though you may not find the best stuff when you buy discount, you can save a lot of money on stuff that you don?t need for very long, and you can find great deals on things that you may not be able to find within your price range anywhere else.
Most of the discount stores in my area are dollar stores. I only shop at a Dollar Tree ? where everything is one dollar ? unless I am shopping for craft items. I cannot believe some of the great items they have there that can be used for crafts. Other than that though, they really don?t have anything that I want to pay a dollar for. It is quite amazing what these types of discount stores can sell for just one dollar. It makes you wonder about the markup of some other stores.
Other types of discount stores in my area are the other kind of dollar stores. These stores sell items for more than a dollar, but you can find some great deals. The problem with this type of discount stores is that some of the stuff that they have might be expired, broken or faulty. For the most part, the stuff is fine, but it is in your best interest to check things over when you buy at those discount stores. You can find interesting items there that you can?t find anywhere else, and you can find a huge discount on items that may have been discontinued.
You may also know about Wal-Mart. They are probably the king of the discount stores, and they do it by selling for less than anyone else. Personally, I have grown an aversion to Wal-Mart, but they do have the best deals you can find almost anywhere. However, I have found that the selection is not what I wish it to be, and I am shopping at different stores more and more as time goes on. I have nothing against discount stores like Wal-Mart, but I do like to find what other places have to offer sometimes, even if I have to pay a little more money.
