Mouse Pads
You may not give a lot of thought to your mouse pads, but they are something that most people have even though they arent needed anymore, at least not like they used to be. The mouse pad was made as a place to put your mouse, and was meant to keep dirt out of the ball, and to give you a soft yet smooth surface so that everything worked as well as possible. Though many of the mouse pointers that are made today dont have a ball any longer, many people still like to use them.
I have a mouse that does not use a ball, but I still have mouse pads. Perhaps it is just a matter of habit, or perhaps people dont realize they dont need them any longer. A mouse without a ball can be used on any flat surface, and mouse pads are no longer required. Maybe people still use them just because it gives them somewhere to set the mouse when not in use, or perhaps because they come in all sorts of great designs, and some are even made to help with carpel tunnel.
If you have problems with carpel tunnel, or think that you may one day have to worry about it, you can get a mouse made just for that purpose. You can find mouse pads that have a rest for your wrist. This rest holds it in place so that there is no stress on your wrist. Its often that stress that leads to carpel tunnel in the first place. These rests are normally firm, but made out of a gel substance that is comfortable for you to use on a daily basis. They cost more than regular mouse pads, but the small difference in price is well worth it if you must spend a lot of time at your computer.
You can get mouse pads with your favorite scene on it. If you love a good sunset, you can find some with that on it as well. You can even get mouse pads special made with pictures of your favorite performer or with pictures of your family or friends. You can get some with animals on them, or with the name of your business to give out as promotional items. Many people have more than one pad, and if you offer them one, they will most likely take it, even if they dont think they need it.
