glass perfume bottles 04 by Articles Exposed

The neat thing about perfume is that almost any small flask, vial, or other container can be used to contain it. I only use glass perfume bottles myself, but even this very specific taste gives me a large number of choices on what to use to hold my fragrances. Of course, glass perfume bottles are one of my hobbies, so I spend a much larger amount of time looking for the perfect containers than many of you probably do, but I can tell you that the search never dulls, even for one moment. On the contrary, the more glass perfume bottles I see, the more I enjoy looking for even more interesting and exotic ones!

Many people prefer the most standard kinds of glass perfume bottles. They like the modern design, functional but ugly, and complete with a spray nozzle. I guess this has some advantages, although It is not a style of glass perfume bottle that I personally have anything but contempt for. The advantage is that, with these kinds of glass perfume bottles, you can dispense a light misting of fragrance on your body in a way that you can not with a conventional, stoppered container. However, who really needs to do that. I have used the more traditional kind of glass perfume bottle the one with the elegant stopper held on by gravity and have found that a dab of fragrance on my neck and a dab on each wrist is more than adequate to give the perfect olfactory decoration to my body. These spray glass perfume bottles seem so vulgar and modern. Another unnecessary invention meant to make life more easy, but actually trying to replace something that works perfectly well. There is just no need to change something that works fine without the change, and that is all that there is to it.

The best glass perfume bottles are the ones with a novel and cool look to them, one that you do not get everywhere. I especially like to use bottles originally designed for other purposes. I think old medicine bottles, as long as they are fitted with a stopper made out of glass or metal, work great for holding perfume. I also like to use antique flasks, containers designed for sailors, and other such quaint old stuff. There are even glassblowers who devote their craft to making great glass perfume bottles, and from them you can find some of the very best stuff that there is to be had.
