As I mentioned, I wasn't aware of these minor details. However, I soon learned how to take care of them on my own. If it wasn't the sump pump, it was the useless dishwasher, and if it wasn't that, it was the water softener. That one took the cake right there. It was the hardest to install. But, don't get me wrong, it only took a little over an hour. That's not bad if you compare it to the cost of having a pro do it. Anyway, back to the sump pump. I had an ancient one in my basement. The truth is it was on its last leg. We just didn't notice until the water started building up. So then my wife and I quickly adapted and learned how to install a sump pump on our own. If you're wondering why we didn't acquire the help of a professional, it's because of cost. Besides after doing a little recon work online, I soon learned how to install a sump pump. It was easy, and I'm not just saying that. It literally took my wife and me 30 minutes. How many hundred do you want to pay someone else for that tidbit of labor? I definitely suggest that you install a sump pump on your own.
